AVID Summer Institutes

This Way to Student Success!

Summer Institute is AVID's annual professional learning training where contracted sites come to learn the latest in AVID methodologies and strategies to successfully implement AVID in their schools. This year, AVID Center will host ten Summer Institutes in nine cities across the country. Our school will be sending 14 staff members to San Diego August 4 - 6 for the annual summer training. The Summer Institute Session II is the highest attended professional development conference training in the United States and will be visited by over 5600 teachers, administrators, counselors and tutors from all over the world. The training is focused, National Common Core Standard based, and extremely collaborative.
